Abstract

Reason and result relationship manifests itself at every stage of life. There are many indicators that give reasons in the New Uyghur Turkish. The expressive power of language offers individuals many possibilities in expression of feelings and thoughts. In New Uyghur Turkish, the meaning of cause can be given with affixes, words, or it can be given without any cause indicator in the surface structure. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the cause indicators in New Uyghur Turkish. Despite the fact that there are many indicators in the New Uyghur Turkish that give causes at the level of suffixes, words and deep structures, the fact that no study has been carried out on this subject has led us to this research. While conducting the study, first of all, a total of twenty-six books consisting of novels, story books, poetry books and dictionaries were scanned, and the cause indicators were based on the data obtained as a result of the scans. The cause indicators are given under four main headings as the Ø cause indicator, the cause indicators consisting of suffixes, the cause indicators consisting of words and the indicators for finding the cause. Each main title has been divided into sub-titles and examined and supported with examples.
