Türk Dilinin Sözcük Tarihi Açısından Önemli Bir Eser Et-Tuhfetü'z-Zekiyye Fi'l-Lûgati't-Türkiyye

Abstract

In this article, after evaluating of all books which have published till now relating to this masterpiece Et-Tuhfetii' z-Zekiyye fi'l-Lugati't-Tiirkiye which is one of the souvenir for oldKzpchak language, this book has been evaluated in the regard of the history of the vocabulary of Turkish language. In this written book the word "koten" which has not been given any meanings and has not read by Besim Atalay, has been tried to determine the meanings from Arabic dialect vocabulary. By doing this the history of the presence of this word in Turkish language has taken to the period when this book was written. In addition to this book Et-Tuhfetii'z-Zekiyye fi'l-Lugati't-Tiirkiye has drawn the concentration towards the Arabic dialect elements.
