Abstract

Deverbal verbal suffix -kA- which derives intensive verbs does not exist in Early Turkish morphological studies, is an interesting component of formation. We also need historical comparative studies to make clear our word formation system with its all sides. This suffix which mostly ends with consonant and attaches to monosyllabic and transitive verbs derives intensive verbs. The suffix -kA-, is a combination of the -k- and -A- affixes, provides the revealment of the same functional -kAlA- affix, combining with the suffixes -lA- and -AlA- which derives iterative verbs
