Abstract
Among the Turkish states founded between the 6th ve 13th centries in Middle Asia, the Oguz volk is one that made its ethnic identity and importance known. But since the wolk did not have a sovereign state, there is also no written language based on the Oguz language.The Oguz language only attained the position of a written language between the 13th and 15th centries with the formation of Old Anatolian Turkish. Hence Old Anatolian Turkish has a important role in the history of the Turkish language.In this study, the condition Oguz language between 6th and 13th centries and results of the developments after the formation of Old Anatolian Turkish have en evaluated.
