Abstract

Certain novels in Turkish literature have dealt with themes such as Western or "new" lifestyle and the failure to adapt to the modern urban life through evaluation or criticism. the novel Hiçbiryer by Fatma Karabıyık Barbarosoğlu is one of such novels.The present study examines the original linguistic uses and sentence preferences in the novel Hiçbiryer by Fatma Karabıyık Barbarosoğlu, focusing on the harmony between these and the novel's content. Since the novel has a predominantly psychological character, we found that there is a strikingly intensive use of reduplications in the narrative language, and that various concepts about rustic life were carried into literary language through the novel
